Current Make Up wish list!

Hi everyone! hows it going? so i'm here today with a Makeup Wishlisht post! I know... like i don't have enough already! But honestly, i have to say that i've been really good with suppressing my craze for makeup purchasing! So these are the products that i have been lusting over.
These are products that i would totally be delighted to have but i know it's not something i would purchase right out the bat.
I'm not including products that i have in my list that i know i will buy in the near future. Ok, ready? here it goes!

YSL teint resist foundation.

So, a little back story on this product, i went to the YSL counter in Myer, a high end department store here in Melbourne, initially to company a friend of mine that wanted to check out their infamous Touche Eclat. So when she was having her time with it, i checked out the foundation myself (the new touche eclat foundation it is) and i had a chat with the Sales Assistant and she eventually recommended me the Teint Resist as it has the best formulation out of all the other YSL foundations for oily skin. She swatched a little bit on the back of my hand and OH-MY-GODNESS-GRACIOUS. One thing i reckon the most is that it has such a beautiful finish, it has this velvet-ish finish and is so smooth. I fell in love with it right away!
The Australian retail price for the Yves Saint Laurent teint resist foundation is $79. I personally think it isn't that bad, the RRP on Sephora's website is 55 USD, but honestly i am willing to pay 79 for such a beautiful, luxurious and amazing quality face product!

BareMinerals SPF 15 matte foundation.

I know what you're thinking. "What? you're only getting into this product now?!"
Well, to be quite honest, i have never been too interested in this best selling products. i know for fact that a handful of my friends swears by this product, my friends who aren't as much into makeup as i do.
But i've always thought that this is just another lose powder. Which i am now aware that it is absolutely incorrect!
After a little chat with the YSL lady, my friend and i went over to the Mecca Cosmetica section in Myer, because she (my friend) wanted to buy another one of her Bare Minerals foundation. Yes, she went through a whole container. She completely forgot what shade she was in since she ran out of her foundation ages ago so i asked the Mecca sales assistant to color match her. While the lady was applying the foundation to her, trying colors and stuff, i browse around Mecca, swatching this and that, which birings us to the next product i wanted to talk about.
But as soon as she was finished, my jaw literally dropped. Her skin looks FLAWLESS! just like she just applied a really nice foundation, such a great finish i reckon. Other than that, it has such a good coverage but not powdery looking, remembering the loose-powder form that it comes in. Again, i fell in love with this product at the very first sight.
It retails at AUD 34.95 which i think is not bad at all since the actual RRP in sephora.com is USD 27. Not that big of a difference. But i held my self back from buying it right away since i still have quite a few foundations i'm currently using, including a couple new ones that i'm still trying out. So i thought, if i finish 2 foundations, i'll buy one of these foundations in my wish list, and it goes the same for another one!

NARS cream blush in Cactus Flower

This is another product that i feel like has been raved and hyped all over the beauty community for the longest time, but then again, never seem to interest me that much. Until i swatched it at the Mecca Cosmetica counter in Myer while my friend was getting all glammed up with the Bare Minerals foundation. I've always thought that the colour is very pretty, but i thought the texture would just be like any other cream blush. But boy, they're nowhere close to the same to a couple cream blushes i own (e.g. NYX and Bobbi Brown) The formulation isn't quite as slippery i'd say? i'm not saying that i don't like the ones that i have but, this NARS one has a different texture, almost like a cream to powder finish but a very very smooth one.
The color it self as you may know is a gorgeous mixture of red and a bit of coral with a hint of gold-ish shimmer, although the shimmer is very subtle. It just looked so absolutely stunning and of course, it was love at the first swatch.

Chanel Bronze Universal bronzing makeup base (Soleil Tan De Chanel)

Amongst the list, this highly-raved product from one of my favorite high-end brands is probably the one that has been in my wishlist the longest.
I have had my eyes on this baby for well over a year now. It is just such a unique product that i feel like no other brands has made something quite similar. and of course, the beautiful double c's stamp on the packaging made me want it even more.
It basically is a light cream textured bronzer for your complexion. I've heard people go on and on and on about how this product blends into your skin like a dream, how natural it looks. From people with different skin tones and under tones. Also, how long it lasts as far as product goes.
It's probably not something i would get in the near future, considering the high price tag. But i promise my self that one day, i will have this gorgeous packaging sitting in my collection.

So that is everything! i know it's not much but i honestly feel like i don't need much more makeup! and like i stated before, i'm not including the products that i know i will definately buy!

Thanks for reading! xoxo

(L-R)
Pro Longwear Lipglass in Infinitely Likeable
Lipglass in Viva Glam Cyndi
Lipglass in Nothingless (Alexander McQueen collection)
Lipstick in Viva Glam Nicki (Satin Finish)
Lipstick in Viva Glam Gaga (Satin Finish)
Listick in Kinda Sexy (Matte Finish)

(The two pots in front)
(L) Lipstick in Speak Louder
(R) Lipstick in Shy Girl
both are cremesheen finishes

swatches of the ligpglosses

(L-R)
Infinitely Likeable pro-longwear lipglass.
As far as color goes, this lipglass has a very adorable milky-pink colour to it, a little bit on the cooler toned side, but definitely still wearable. It also has a creme finish to the color which means it has no shimmer or sheen what so ever.
Formulation wise, it has a thicker and stickier consistency which i personally don't mind, but it might bug some people as it is quite sticky. The stickiness is actually what makes the product stays a long time.
The staying power itself is pretty long, i can't say the exact period of time, but it doesn't wear off easily, however, when it does wear off, it wouldn't stain your lips noticeably.

Viva Glam Cyndi lipglass.
this is one of my current favourite lipglosses out of my collection. The color is a gorgeous red with a corally-warm undertone to it. it is very pretty and would be really easy to pull off. It also brighten up your whole entire complexion!

Nothingless lipglass.
Now i have to say that this lipglass is from a ridiculously old collection, i don't know if you notice but on the packaging it says "Alexander McQueen Fall '07". which i assume means this collection came put in 2007, BUT, i actually bought this lipgloss in 2010 in a MAC store in Saudi Arabia while i was there. so don't judge me for owning it :P
anyways, i have to be honest that i didn't really care about the colour when i bought it, i had to have it because it was from a McQ collection! but i'll break down the color for you anyways!
i would say it's basically a clear lipgloss, but it does have a teeny tiny bit of a creamy color infused to it, so that when you apply it, it would kind of mute the color you have on your lips a bit. It also has loads of shimmer. it'll make your lips look shiny and all that. i think this is a perfect runway type of lipgloss since it is very natural but very shiny.

when it comes to the staying power and formulation, MAC's lipglasses are pretty standard, they don't wear for a very long period of time, i'd say 1-2 hours? sometimes even less if you eat or drink, etc. all in all they are not my favourite products that MAC has to offer, but i definately like them.

(L-R)
Kinda Sexy, VivaGlam Gaga, VivaGlam Nicki, Shy Girl, Speak Louder

now i have to say i adore MAC's lipstick, the quality is just above and beyond, they are my fave MAC products aside from the blushes.
As you may notice from the first picture in this post, i depoted 2 lipsticks to a jar container, simply because they melted when i have them in my purse while i was out and about. But it didn't change it's formulation or color what so ever, although i prefer to apply lipsticks straight from the bullet, i still reach for the 2 lipsticks because they are my absolute faves!

Kinda Sexy is a beautiful nude with a pink-peach undertone, i love it as it is not a nude that washes my skintone out, it's a perfect mid tone nude, also, it has a matte finish. Although mattes in general aren't my fave, this color is way pretty and is nice for a little bit of a finish change in your makeup look

Viva Glam Gaga as you can see is a very cool toned blue based pink colour, it definately is wearable as it has a satin finish where it is quite sheer but, is buildable.

Viva Glam Nicki, is the opposite of Gaga. it is a bright bold pink but it is so much on the warmer side. i love this lipstick so much as the color is again, wearable and brightening. Also, i love Nicki Minaj. hehe

Shy Girl is another very pretty nude that i love. It definately is on the lighter side compared to kinda sexy, and has so much more peach undertone. i would say it's like a 'brighter' nude, than kinda sexy, if that make sense? as kinda sexy is more of an everyday 'calm' nude color. This is one of those lipstick color that would go perfect with Smokey eyes. Also, this is a cremesheen finish, which probably is my favorite finish for MAC lipsticks, they are very pigmented but very smooth and shiny. i love it!

Speak Louder, i have to say is my favourite color out of the 5 i have right now. it's the perfect bright pink with a bit of corally undertone to it. It is very pretty and flattering on the lips! also it has a cremesheen finish that i love!

so there you have it! my MAC lip products collection! i would love to get recommendations of which one i should get next up!

Update + my europe trip pictures!

hi dolls! how have you been? i hope it's all fantastic!
i don't wanna go on and make excuses for my lack of post on here. i have been genuinely busy with life, school, AND youtube, etc. with that being said, i still regularly post beauty videos on youtube (with some glimpses to my life through vlogs also!) so make sure you subscribe!
1 thing you may or may not know, i have moved to australia. yay. i have been here for about 2 months now, and i've just been trying to settle down and what not. despite the fact that i miss my hometown, also my family and friends back there like none other, i have to admit that my life here hasn't been bad! mainly because i do have quite a bit of friends moved here along with me for their studies as well. so i always have some people to hang out and be familiar with.
As far as the study itself goes, quite honestly, it has been a struggle to catch up, remembering how different the system in here compared to the one applied to campuses back home, but it's not to the point where i can't handle it though.
In a nutshell, it is all good. i am just in the settling down phase of moving into a totally new environment which is 100% normal.

Anyways, rather than making this post a boring-text-only post where you would probably skip anyway, i would make a comeback to this blog by posting some of the pictures from my trip to europe last christmas break. i had tooonnsss of fun and it was one of the highlight of my life for sure.

other than that, i've also been busy preparing for my departure to Australia. hopefully everything goes smoothly. if you don't know already, i'm moving out to Aussie in february 2012 for a couple years to continue my study. I am excited yet super anxious at the same time, i'm excited to have my own place and stuff, but i've never been away from my family for more than 10 days..

Indonesian beauty brand review! INEZ

Hi beauties! this post is going to be about a Local beauty brand! props for being proud of your nation!
I've been using international branded makeup for the past year, regardless if its drugstore or high-end! i finally get to try some local ones which has been surprising me lately!
INEZ is one of the many local brands i get to try quite a bit of products from, been wanting to try them for AGES because of the great reviews here and there! so here is my 2 cents about the brand! hope u enjoy!

Inez Loose Eyeshadow Powder

These are loose eyeshadows that are really affordable, to be honest i am not the biggest fan of loose eyeshadows in general because they are pretty hard to work with and take a lil bit more time than pressed eyeshadows, however, i really wanted to try these because they are inexpensive and looked soo pretty!

(L-R) Golden Moss, Aztec Gold

Aztec Gold, Golden Moss

as you can see these loose eyeshadows are INCREDIBLY pigmented and super shiny metallic which if you don't know already, metallic eyeshadows are gonna be sooo in for the FALL season! They have 7 different colors for these amazing loose shadows. but they are really intense bold colors. these two are the ones that caught my eyes the most, the rest are bright blues, yellows, reds and such.. i'm having my eyes on the red one now.. i know red is not a wearable eyeshadow, especially really bright pigmented ones.. but for only $2 each, i can't resist!

Inez Colour Contour Eyeshadow Collection (quad)

I have to be honest you guys, i DO NOT need anymore eyeshadows. I have waaaay too much to use by myself already. but oh well, these were just soo tempting, for the price of them, i couldn't resist! they were only $3 each! for 4 eyeshadows, you know thats a steal! (if the quality is any good, of course!

(L-R) New York, Venice

swatches from the Venice quad

Swatches from the New York quad

ooh-lala mamasita! we can confirm now that these eyeshadows are LOVE! they are definately a steal for how much they are!

as you can see from the VENICE quad comes with 2 metallic eyeshadows (the two on the lefy, copper-y bronze and gold) and just a satin-y almost matte creme color and finally a matte dark brown. i initially bought this quad because i was soo drown into the metallic shades, i used them a few times alreeady and i LOVE them, definately more pigmented than the other 2 shades but all of them are really good quality eyeshadows!

and as for the NEW YORK quad, the colors are definately more fun and girly, all of them are satin-y almost matte finishes except for the dark dark brown one down right, it has a little bit of golden shimmers in it, my eyes caught the two colors on the top which are the peachy pink and corally orange, i think this quad gonna make a great whole eye look with the color combo!

pigmentation wise, of course these eyeshadows has way beyond worth for the price! the texture are really smooth and not chalky, they feel really rich!

Inez Colour Contour Blusher with Brush (powder blush)

well, i don't know if you guys know, *if you watch me on youtube you would probably know!* that my favorite makeup item is blush, i don't care what brand they are what so ever, i am head over heels with blushes! so, when it comes to cheap blushes, i would normally go mad.. which explains why i have 4 blushes from inez..

(L-R) Italian Sun, Autumn Rose, Gold Dipped Brick, Amber Peach

each of these blushes were only $2.99 which is undefeated, price wise. i know i have a wet n wild blush that originally only cost around the same, however, i order it online and with the shipping and all that, i'd have to pay about $5-6 in the end, so i think it's safe to say that these inez blushes are the cheapest blushes i have!

(L-R) Italian Sun, Autumn Rose, Gold Dipped Brick, Amber Peach

now, i don't know whats the deal with my camera, the lighting or whatever, these swatches looks nothing like what they are in real life, i mean the color does look like the real ones, but in this pict, they look like they're not so pigmented whereas in real life, they unbelievably are!

Italian Sun is a the one that i thought would be absolutely appropriate for the fall/ winter time, it is a matte darker reddish-orangey-coral shade of a blush which honestly, is not something i would probably reach for, but you guys, it looked sooo pretty that i just had to pick it up. When i got home and swacthed it for the picture, it reminds me a lot of NARS Exhibit A blush!

i never have the NARS blush, but based on what i see on other people's videos, the orangey reddish tone feels similar to me.

Autumn Rose is probably the second most talked about blush from this brand, it is a gorgeous simmery deeper tone of a rosey pink shade, to me it has a little bit of a coral tone in it. It is going to be that perfect flush to the cheeks

Gold Dipped Brick is the one that everyone has been talking about! and just FYI, the tester in the store had numbers instead of the names.. so long story short, i picked all these blushes based on their colors in on the testers and not for a specific name.. so they all based on my eyes and my heart! and guess what i picked this lovely color first, and when the lady gave me the blush, i looked at the name, and i was like "of course" :D
It is a shimmery peachy neutral colored blush, on my cheeks it goes very well and gives that popped out-contoured look to it. i LOVE it.. this is my number 1 fave out of all 4 of em.. most of the times i would go with pinky or corally blushes but this one has opened up my eyes to peachy toned blushes! in the swatch picture, it didnt really show up as well because it is pretty close to my skintone color, but on my face it looks beautiful!

Amber Peach, i must say is my least favorite out of the 4, i must confess, i've never really tried it and i've had it for quite a while now.. i've never tried Italian Sun and Autumn rose but its because i just got them yesterday!
i don't really know why i picked up this color.. but i think because it is a darker tone of a blush, and i wanted to try it, come to think of it, it is a little too dark or me to pull off as a blush, i thought i could use it as a bronzer or contour, but then when i swatched it for this post, i can see a dusty mauve-y tone to it rather than a bronzey or pinky. so i dont know if its gonna look good as a bronzer.. but i'll try to figure out a way to work this blush on!

The pigmentation of all these blushes are really good! the texture is very smooth, and it has a creamy feeling when i swatched it. it is not powdery! one thing i notice is that these blushes has quite a strong scent in it, i am not too bothered by it, but it could be too strong maybe for other people..

The only thing i could really complain about this brand is the packaging, NOT a fan of it! not that its hard to open or anything, it just looked so old-ish and less appealing, since i am also a sucker for packaging..
also, this product is not really easily accessible, i have to go a specific market to find them because i can;t find them at my nearest mall or beauty stores.

After all, for me personally, Inez has a really good selection of colors and products, although i've never try their lips and face stuff, i'm still very impressed with the quality of the products with the really inexpensive price tag! absolutely worth a try!

xoxo
